Born in Brooklyn NY May 1957……

The summer after 4th grade I had an opportunity to try out for the school band so I did.
They gave me a trumpet and music lessons along with 30 other students.
I was a natural; I learned to read music & play well enough to do a summer concert in only 8 weeks.
I continued the trumpet all through elementary and Junior High School…Marching bands & school concerts but I always wanted to play the drums. My trumpet teacher wouldn’t let me play because he said I was too good a trumpet player to waste it.
When I moved here to Centereach in 1971, I didn’t like the music program. I still wanted to play the drums and I knew now was the time. I quit the school band because they wouldn’t give me drum lessons.
1972 .The Kid next door to me had a used drum set for sale, so I bought it and could play them with ease! Wow this was cool!
Within days I got friends together to form a band. We played for backyard parties, the youth center dances and anywhere they would let us, which is not much different then now!
Still playing drums after 30years, I play as many as 70 gigs a year with 3 full time bands & I Substitute for any band that needs my help at a moments notice, sometimes with no rehearsal.
All this is made possible due to my Wife Beverly’s Support of my Drumming Addiction!

BORN IN QUEENS JULY 14 19??

MY FATHER LISTENED TO A LOT OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSIC, WHEN I WAS YOUNG, SETTLING INTO COUNTRY MUSIC WHEN I WAS IN MY TEENS. MANY OF MY INFLUENCES TIE ALONG WITH COUNTY MUSIC. SOME OF THEM ARE EMMY LOU HARRIS, LINDA RONDSTAT, BONNIE RAITT..ETC…..
WHEN I GOT DIVORCED I WENT AFTER MY DREAM.. I FORMED A SUCCESSFUL COUNTRY BAND AND WE PLAYED TOGETHER FOR SEVEN YEARS. ALONG WITH THAT I EXPLORED MORE VENUES OF MUSIC AND WAS ALSO IN A BLUES BAND. THINGS HAPPEN AND THOSE TIMES KIND OF DISSOLVED. AFTER THAT I PLAYED IN A COUPLE OF ROCK AND ROLL BANDS AND FINALLY FOUND MY LITTLE NITCH HERE WITH “MY FAVORITE MISTAKE “. I LIKE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSIC BUT MOSTLY I LIKE TO SING SONGS THAT COME FROM THE HEART OR ONES THAT I CAN RELATE TO AND PUT MY WHOLE SOUL INTO.
TO ME SINGING IS SOMETHING THAT COMES FROM INSIDE. IT WILL BE APPARENT WHEN YOU HEAR ME SING, THAT IT’S A FEELING, IT’S A NATURAL. WE COVER A LOT OF SHERYL CROW TUNES. I CAN RELATE TO HER MUSIC REAL WELL. I ALSO LIKE THE STYLES OF ERIC CLAPTON, STEVIE RAY VAUGHN AND SOUTHERN ROCK.
I HAVE EDDIE TO THANK FOR HELPING ME FORM THIS BAND AND KNOWING THE DIRECTION IN WHICH TO LEAD MY GIFT. THANKS MONDINI HEAD!
